Our Work

Welcome to St Cuthberts Care
Our Purpose
St Cuthberts Care is a charity working for the common good
by enabling people to develop to their personal potential
One of the longest established social care charities in North East
England, we currently run over 30 projects across the region.
We care for children, care for the disabled, care for the elderly
and provide care in and for communities across the North East
St Cuthberts Care has, for over 60 years, provided help and support to the region's most vulnerable and needy.
Our work spans the length and breadth of the North East; from Tynedale in the west to Tyneside in the East and from Berwick in the North to Teesside in the South. We operate over 30 projects offering much needed help, support and care to those most disadvantaged in society.
As society and its problems become more complex, so must our responses. We offer specialised and discreet care and assistance to families and children, people with disabilities and older people who need care.
We choose to work in areas where there is great risk.
All of our staff are dedicated, committed and trained to face these challenges head on to enable and empower our service users to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.
Take a look around our website to find out exactly what we do in so many fields. If you feel we may be able to help you - or if you are inspired to help us, click on Contact Us to get in touch with any of our services.

Your Feedback
We aim to provide a quality service which will improve the lives of the people we support.
We welcome feedback from people using the service and their relatives, as well as commissioners and other professionals.
“ Can you bottle whatever you do here at Bailiffgate so we can take it with us to give to new staff who will be looking after Brenda when she goes to her new placement.
She will never have anything like what she has had here.

"Mam could not have received better care anywhere.
The staff at St. Catherine's were always prepared to go that extra mile to cater for her needs.
Their work should be held up as
a beacon to others."
Mr. I. L. North Shields
"We were amazed at the level of care and treatment he received and the genuine concern everybody had for his welfare.
We were impressed by
the patience, friendliness and professionalism of all the staff."

"We would like to thank St Cuthberts Care for bringing your mobile service to UCA's Drop-In Centre...it has been especially helpful for families of young children and to single refugees and asylum seekers who have no other form of support."
