5p Bus

St Cuthberts Care's 5p Bus project was launched in 2008 to support those in dire need. It is a mobile clothes distribution service that travels around our region's neediest areas, offering essential good quality second-hand clothes, bedding, children's toys, books and on occasions, brand new toiletries, all for just 5p an item. It also provides information about further key support services we provide.

The project covers both south and north areas of our region on a daily basis. Our distinctive yellow bus currently visits over 120 locations each month and is resourced through a constant supply of donated goods received from generous individuals, schools and churches throughout the region.

Our service relies completely upon the generosity of our supporters.

How you can donate

Such is demand for the service that the 5p Bus is always in need of donations. Donating goods to the 5p Bus is easy and our friendly staff are always delighted to receive new deliveries. To make a donation please visit our collection depot at the address below between 9am and 2pm, Monday to Thursday or between 11am and 4pm on a Friday.

If you are unable to make a delivery, please contact the depot for advice.

How you can access the bus

The bus visits specific areas once a month. To find out when it will be in an area close to you, please contact the depot.
