Volunteer

Nothing can be more rewarding than making a genuine difference to someone’s life. St Cuthberts Care is looking for committed volunteers who can give their time and share their skills for one day a week, to help with our worthwhile projects. We value and support our volunteers, taking care to match them with projects that suit their skills and availability.

The work that volunteers typically get involved in includes: helping our 5p Bus; visiting residents in our nursing home; helping at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre; helping in local projects.

We welcome people of all ages and abilities and would particularly like to hear from anyone who has skills to share, who can be flexible in their volunteering, and who has their own transport.

We treat our volunteers as we treat all employees: as such we have job descriptions for each role, and recruit volunteers through an application process.
